Is the POS really free?

Yes. Commercial Free is $0 with no card required to start. It includes the in-person point of sale, a branded online store, inventory, and purchasing — within the free-plan caps of 1 location, 1 POS terminal, 3 cashier PINs, and 100 items.

What does the 0.9% platform fee mean?

On the free plan, TrackYourShelves charges a 0.9% platform fee on card sales — just 90¢ per $100 in card sales. That is our fee on top of your own payment processor's fee — you bring your Stripe account, and we do not process cards or make card processing itself cheaper. The platform fee drops to 0.6% (60¢ per $100), then 0.35% (35¢ per $100), then just 0.2% (20¢ per $100) as you move up to paid plans.

What are the limits on the free plan?

Commercial Free is capped at 1 location, 1 POS terminal, 3 cashier PINs, and 100 items. The full toolkit is included within those limits, and you only upgrade when you need more capacity or a lower platform fee.

Can I sell online too?

Yes. A branded online store (browse and checkout, powered by Stripe) is available on the free plan. Online Ordering with pickup, delivery, and dine-in plus a live kitchen board is an optional $29/mo add-on on top of the free store.
